My Honest Review of an AMAZINGLY INCREDIBLE smart phone
This Samsung Galaxy S2 review will attempt to go into all aspects of this great new introduction. From the moment I got my hands on it, I knew it was going to be something incredibly special. Just getting to check it out was awesome! It is a very light phone in terms of weight but it has many qualities that remind me of the iPhone 4. In my opinion, some qualities are better than the iPhone and some are less desirable. In this review I will attempt to give my honest opinion on every aspect of the phone, both good and bad. I will start by saying though that it is one of the coolest phones I had ever owned and I do love its overall sleekness and sexiness. I really do hope you enjoy this and if you love the phone as much as I do, feel free to connect with me on Facebook, Google+, Twitter or YouTube. So, without anymore anticipation, let’s take a moment and go into the features of the phone.
At 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 (4.93 x 2.60 x o.33 in), the phone offers excellent screen size. In fact, it’s a great screen size for watching movies and videos. The colors are crisp and eye catching and though the size is a little large, it is perfect for video with nice and smooth motion.
Although super thin, lacks a bit in overall “feel.” This is mainly because of its light weight and thin body. Popping the back off this phone to access the SIM card seemed to give me a feeling that I’d better be quite careful, lest I damage the phone. All in all though, it has held up rather well. The controls are on the sides of the phone as you would expect and the 3.5 jack is on the top edge of the phone. I can get used to this.
The resolution of this phone has been improved from 5 megapixels to 8 megapixels and the results are nice. The camera has multiple features including a Beauty shot, smile, cartoon, panorama and action type options. Very cool. Personally, I love the face detection mode which takes a lot of guesswork out of shooting a picture. The video aspects of this phone camera are excellent as well. It shoots HD video at 1080p and 720p at 30 frames/second. Results: fantastic!
There are awesome functions on the phone. There is a button for social networking on the phone which is of increasing importance. Connect to Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, Google Talk, and MySpace. Application settings are on the bottom of the screen and are static but there are custom features available on the phone for shortcuts, widgets, folders and even wallpaper. It also features apps for games, music, social hub and book stores.
This incredible phone is very fast with a 1.2Ghz dual core processor which is great for applications and web browsing. It also loads in the WiFi environment very fast.
The phone has excellent music sound qualities and they are even better with headphones. The bass can be adjusted to come in quite powerfully. There is a built in Music Hub store that allows you to buy and upload songs. It also has the Music Player which is very close to the Hub Store but without the possibility of creating playlists. In my opinion, it’s just something to get used to.
All in all, the Samsung Galaxy S2 smart phone is a great phone for any activities in today’s online world. Even though the overall construction of the phone makes me feel that it’s a little too fragile, I can get over that. Adding a protective cover will overcome that even though it will take away from the thin line design. Either way, I can get over this one somewhat negative feature of the phone. Here’s the funny thing about comparing and reporting on all these features of this awesome phone: It works as a phone too!
